Before Care: KMS provides before-school care starting at 7:30 a.m. each school day, supervised by one of the Primary teachers.

After Care: KMS provides after school care until 6:00 p.m. each school day, supervised by our After Care staff. Notification must be given in advance to assure that the program is adequately staffed for the number of children present.

When the weather is nice, much of after care is spent on the playground. This outdoor play time gives children the opportunity to practice social interaction, create activities and games, and get the exercise they need in an environment with adult supervision, but without adult-structured organization.

In addition to outdoor play time, the daily after care routine includes a story time, a circle time in which students share their thoughts with the group, and a time for doing the childrens' "jobs" of sweeping the sidewalk, watering plants, and organizing toys to care for their playground. There are also a few group games, craft projects, and other special activities each week.
