After-school Spanish lessons are taught twice a week to small groups of 6-8 students by Ms. Nuria Hernández. Singing, games, crafts, and stories are combined with vocabulary work to make learning Spanish fun.

Classes

Primary classes consist of Spanish greetings, vocabulary, games with pictures, songs, story-telling, and crafts. Each session is a half-hour of creative learning and fun, covering basic concepts like:

• Colors
• Animals
• Foods
• Numbers
• Greetings

Elementary students build on this foundation by engaging in more extensive conversation, reading and writing, and even beginning to use verb conjugations.
