The Primary students have been studying the oceans, the animals that live in the oceans and the ocean habitat.  They made this wonderful mural together as the artistic element to the study.  Ms. Woodard drew the shapes in pencil, then the children used oil pastels and stencils to make the animals.  They got the interesting underwater look by using watercolors and then blotting the extra moisture away.  The popular unit on oceans will continue until next Friday when the older students (who do not nap) will watch a video on oceans and have a special ocean-themed snack.
