Carmen Radke
Associate Spanish and Community Guide
Carmen is a passionate and creative educator from Colombia who brings a global perspective and deep love of language to the classroom. She holds a Master’s degree in Producing for Film and Video from American University and has over 12 years of experience in film and television production, including work with National Geographic and Warner Bros. Discovery.
Now a dedicated Spanish teacher and tutor, Carmen blends her Montessori experience with her love of culture, nature, and the arts. She is especially passionate about sustainability and environmental science and delights in sharing her appreciation for even the smallest creatures, especially bugs!
Outside the classroom, Carmen enjoys practicing capoeira, hiking, listening to podcasts, and exploring music from Andean folk to classic rock, Queen is her favorite band. She is a proud mother of two, wife to her loving husband from Wisconsin, and pet parent to a spirited, half-blind rescue dog.
Carmen is committed to creating a nurturing, inclusive environment where children are encouraged to explore, discover, and grow in harmony with the Montessori philosophy.
